The institute will offer one-of-a-kind educational opportunities that link wine and food science to artistic, culinary, cultural and historical practices. UC Davis Extension and the UC Cooperative Extension may use the institute as a host for its wine and food continuing education courses. Educational components associated with the winery, brewery and food science laboratory will draw thousands of visitors annually to the Robert Mondavi Institute.

One of the defining features of the institute will be its international profile and the opportunity this presents to expand existing international collaborations and identify new partnerships.

Stakeholders

The institute will provide a point for the transfer of new research findings to the food and wine industries, the government and the public. A central tenet of the institute is that it serve as the portal through which interactions with our stakeholders can occur.
